And Life is Good

You were about to do a photoshoot in the afternoon and as soon as you left home the rain started pouring down. 5 minutes later, the shower magically stopped and the sun came out, fresh and bright.

You have been yearning for this new dress for a long time, but it was simply too expensive. The 4th time you walked into that shop around the corner and suddenly noticed the very dress was on discount with 60% off, and it’s your size!

You were rushing to work and were in a hurry paying the cab. You got into the office and suddenly realized you left your cell phone on the cab. You kept calling your own number for the next 20 minutes only to realize it’s on mute so the cab driver might not even hear it. Just as you were freaking out the driver picked it up, and said I am right at the corner where you got off, come and get your phone! Every time you went to your favorite spicy food restaurant you run into someone you know. The last three times being: a high school schoolmate you haven’t seen for 5 years, a friend you used to study abroad with back in junior year at college, and a group of colleagues on the floor above you.

Nordstrom Rack made its appearance at Union Square, Trader Joe’s is opening a new one on the west, your favorite bubble tea place is finally re-opening again, and the spa place next door is offering a 66% discount for facial/massage.

You have friends in Tokyo, Beijing, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Paris, London, Brazil, Mexico, Vancouver…there is always someone on your MSN, GTalk, Facebook. There is always a number you can dial on your phone book.

They don’t forget your birthdays. Or, they are reminded by facebook of your birthdays, and you remember theirs by being obsessed by facebook too.

Your DVR recorded Gossip Girl, Ellen DeGeneres show, and the Celebrity Apprentice, and you watch everything in a role on Sundays.

You received a hand-written post card, from someone, somewhere, for whatever reason.

Your friend sent you a CD with the best of his collection because you randomly mentioned you liked it. And there is a knock at the door. He said, I brought you mochi, and baby oranges.

And smile, when a stranger asks, are you a model?

And smile, when an enemy says, I respect you.

And smile, the road is long but life is good.

And smile, because you are amazing and one of a kind.

“the shower magically stopped and the sun came out, fresh and bright.” and there is a rainbow in the sky!

It is the attitude that matters. Two months ago, I was at an airport. After I went through the security check, I found my cell phone missing. I told myself not to panic. It was just a really old phone, although I had to wait in line to get it at Apple Store when it first came out. Then I went back to the security check and the officers told the that there was a phone there.

    Life is enjoyable.
